The Presidency urges citizens to respect campaigns of all presidential candidates

Damascus, (SANA) The Presidency hailed as “civilized” the transparent democratic and pluralistic atmosphere amid which the presidential election process is running in Syria.

In a statement on Sunday, the Presidency said this atmosphere is a reflection of the culture of respecting the other and appropriate expression of opinion which the Syrians have a deep-rooted history of.

While lauding the election atmosphere in the country, the Presidency reiterated call on the citizens to deal positively with it by respecting the candidates’ campaigns, including placards and banners.

The Syrians can express their opinions of any candidate freely and transparently by the means of the ballot boxes on the day of elections, the statement said.
